Where Lilith came from, the male of their species was so rare that they've evolved to reproduce without them by implanting their eggs in a host and letting their offsprings feed on the host from the inside. However here on earth that reproductive strategy led to the humans hunting down their species so Lilith had evolved to have her offsprings take over the host instead of eating them.

Lilith sat on her throne as Dave bowed on his knees. The slave worm had taken over his mind, he was no longer Dave even though his memories and personality were still intact but his loyalty was now to Lilith and Lilith only. With this new reproductive strategy Lilith's children could hide in plain sight while doing her bidding. Using her psychic link to her slave worm, Lilith could access all of Dave's memories and through his memories Lilith learned all she needed to know about the new world. "This time I'll keep a low profile. My slave worm will be the perfect weapon to covertly take over the world." Lilith though to herself. "Now, what shall we do about the rest of your expedition members?" Lilith had gotten into the habit of asking rhetorical questions. "They shall serve you, Master."
